June 19, 2017, Hamilton, ON — Every year, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes asks men and women in our
community to step into high heels — or any pair of red shoes — to raise awareness and funds to help
women who have been affected by violence or homelessness. Join us in supporting the most marginalized
women in Hamilton by sponsoring, fundraising, and walking TOMORROW on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Since its inception, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes has raised over a quarter of a million dollars to support
YWCA Hamilton’s essential programs and services. Funds raised at the 8th annual Walk a Mile in her Shoes
will help to combat issues of homelessness and violence against women, making an impact in the
community that will be felt for years to come.

WHAT: 8th annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes in support of YWCA Hamilton
WHEN: Tuesday, June 20, 2017 (Registration: 11 a.m.; Walk and lunch 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.)
